Chi Town Marathon 10/13/19

Nothing raises money for charity like a marathon. Well, maybe something else does a comparable job, but you gotta admit it’s pretty damn cool that so many people are willing to practically kill themselves by running these things, and they collect a shit ton for charity to boot! Or to gym shoe! The weather has turned in Chicagoland and we just had a hot flash like nobody’s bizness. Covertly fall is settling in, which is great news for our marathoners! Somehow, we went from 87 degrees to 64 degrees in […]

CBD Frenzy!

CBD is everywhere and pretty soon it’s going to be in almost everything. Isn’t it just like us to go “all in” with something, before there’s actual scientific evidence that it works. It reminds me of tea tree oil. They started putting TTO in toothpaste, shampoo and bath salts years ago, without any research to back its efficacy. CBD oil has very little scientific research supporting it’s wild indefensible claims, and yet so many want to get in on the action. Yes folks, you can buy wine with CBD, thanks […]

Lunafest Plainfield Charity Event

Our second annual Lunafest Plainfield charity event was a blast, and we were able to donate $2520 to Guardian Angel Community Services! Film, Food and Fine Women were the main attractions! These 8 […]

Falling for Fall

I absolutely love Fall. I love all the seasons, but Fall is by far my fav. This is the time of year when I switch from white wine to red. I?m not sure why. We had unusually warm weather this week, and I found myself going back to white, so I?m guessing it?s a temperature thing. Does everyone do this? Here’s a fun article on white wine in the Winter : https://www.epicurious.com/expert-advice/white-wine-winter-talking-points-article The weather, the colors, the smells and the food are all good reasons to love Fall. Pumpkin everything, […]

What an Amazing Year We’ve Had!

What an Amazing Year We’ve Had! It was an absolute honor to sponsor events held throughout the city of Chicago and Suburbs. In 2016 we donated more than $6000 in wine alone! Here?s a look back at the faces and places of 2016 for Piperfield Wines. We?d like to take this opportunity to say, how grapeful we are to have such amazing supporters. Melissa Cornfield not only ran our social media campaigns, but she literally ran for us, too! Melissa completed her first 10k at the Pride Run and […]

A Few Pearls for Spring

Easter Sunday started out super sweet 60 and sunny. From there, the temp dropped 15 degrees and it poured. Living in the Midwest sure has it perks, no scenery, no oceans?ok, admittedly it?s not that great here, but the seasons are as magnificent as they are exasperating. When the sun shines and the weather is good, you best get your tails outdoors! Otherwise, if you hesitate?the moment can be lost. There are a lot of things that can be done during less than ideal weather: laundry, painting, cleaning, napping and […]
