Congratulations Chicago Marathoners!

What a crazy whirlwind of Chicago weather! The Chicago Marathoners did get rain, but thankfully it wasn’t as bad as predicted and the temp bumped up a bit too! We had a great time at the Chicago Marathon Expo, meeting runners and their friends and family. It’s really heartwarming to see all the support these runners receive. We had our sweet vintage horse trailer mobile bar, and we were offering: free engraving on our Marathon Sparkling, and selling our new Marathon Sparkling tech shirts. Everyone loved the design! This was […]

Being Grapeful on Your Wedding Day

Weddings are a beautiful reminder that we are loved. It’s hard not to be extremely grateful when we find ourselves surrounded by friends and family. A sweet ass way to be “Grapeful” on your wedding day is to serve wines that give back. Ok, not any wines. Serve our wines of course. But seriously, if your friends and family are as pickled as mine, you’ll be giving back in a big way! Our new Marathon Sparkling is a crowd pleaser. Even those wine lovers who are not a fan of […]

Falling for Fall

I absolutely love Fall. I love all the seasons, but Fall is by far my fav. This is the time of year when I switch from white wine to red. I’m not sure why. We had unusually warm weather this week, and I found myself going back to white, so I’m guessing it’s a temperature thing. Does everyone do this? Here’s a fun article on white wine in the Winter : https://www.epicurious.com/expert-advice/white-wine-winter-talking-points-article The weather, the colors, the smells and the food are all good reasons to love Fall. Pumpkin everything, […]

Authenticity – Best Served Chilled

It’s getting harder and harder to tell what authenticity looks like. Many times, deception rears its ugly head in marketing. In today’s competitive alcoholic beverage industry, I’ve seen many instances of deception. While some may feel that my language is too strong, I personally like to call things as I see them. Because I’m a geek of all things related to wine, when I see a new wine label, I research it. If curiosity was a drug, I’d be in deep shit. Delving into a new label gives me great […]

Be a Part of Something Bigger Than Yourself

The portrait of health is forever changing. Remember the food pyramid? I remember the $10,000 Pyramid, so fun! Remember the “Chicken Fat,” song?  Times, they are a changin.  Where does mental health fit in when determining our total health? Will I live longer if I get along with my neighbors? What impact do community events have on our well-being?  Does our participation or lack of, in these events shape us? I grew up in a small town. I was so lucky to grow up in a neighborhood chock full of […]
