Life is a Marathon, stay the course, steady the pace and only drink what you love. Go the Distance. It’s here!! Finally, a sparkling that doesn’t taste like club soda. It’s time, isn’t it? It’s time for Sparkling to evolve. Marathon Semi~Dry Sparkling dazzles the eyes with a gorgeous golden hue, intoxicating luscious bubbles are interlaced with fresh apples and a hint of orange. Falling for Fall

I absolutely love Fall. I love all the seasons, but Fall is by far my fav. This is the time of year when I switch from white wine to red. I’m not sure why. We had unusually warm weather this week, and I found myself going back to white, so I’m guessing it’s a temperature thing. Does everyone do this? Here’s a fun article on white wine in the Winter : The weather, the colors, the smells and the food are all good reasons to love Fall. Pumpkin everything, […]

Authenticity – Best Served Chilled

It’s getting harder and harder to tell what authenticity looks like. Many times, deception rears its ugly head in marketing. In today’s competitive alcoholic beverage industry, I’ve seen many instances of deception. While some may feel that my language is too strong, I personally like to call things as I see them. Because I’m a geek of all things related to wine, when I see a new wine label, I research it. If curiosity was a drug, I’d be in deep shit. Delving into a new label gives me great […]

Be a Part of Something Bigger Than Yourself

The portrait of health is forever changing. Remember the food pyramid? I remember the $10,000 Pyramid, so fun! Remember the “Chicken Fat,” song?  Times, they are a changin.  Where does mental health fit in when determining our total health? Will I live longer if I get along with my neighbors? What impact do community events have on our well-being?  Does our participation or lack of, in these events shape us? I grew up in a small town. I was so lucky to grow up in a neighborhood chock full of […]

What an Amazing Year We’ve Had!

What an Amazing Year We’ve Had! It was an absolute honor to sponsor events held throughout the city of Chicago and Suburbs. In 2016 we donated more than $6000 in wine alone! Here’s a look back at the faces and places of 2016 for Piperfield Wines. We’d like to take this opportunity to say, how grapeful we are to have such amazing supporters. Melissa Cornfield not only ran our social media campaigns, but she literally ran for us, too! Melissa completed her first 10k at the Pride Run and […]

5k Chardonnay at Chicago Marathon VIP Experience

Hey there! We had a blast supporting the CARA VIP Experience at the Chicago Marathon. This was an early am curtain call, so we went with a 5k Chardonnay white wine punch that was light and lively! It was truly inspiring to see people of all ages pushing themselves to the limit. There was a ton of family support for these runners. CARA did a great job of organizing this event. There were complimentary massages, real toilets, snacks, beverages, beer and of course our 5K Chardonnay wine punch! A few […]

Champagne and Sparkling Wine, whats the difference?

Being in my late 20’s I will be the first to admit that most of my friends know very little when it comes to Champagne and Sparkling wine. One of my biggest pet peeves is hearing them call everything that has bubbles “Champagne”. It also seems to annoy them when I correct them, which is when they usually say something snarky like “whatever, same difference!” So I would like to set the record straight, right here and now and explain to my friends, and anyone else who may be confused […]
